As of yesterday, when I had a look at the third opening song of Pokémon Horizons by IVE, I found the song "Will" to be gravely disappointing. This song lacks any weight that a proper Pokémon OP possesses, such as Yama x Botchiboromaru’s Haro. In fact, it’s even worse than the first opening song. And it happens to be the weakest ever! Opening Song Analysis Based on the looks of the third opening, it’s evident that the song is deliberately straying away from the usual Pokémon audience. It serves only to cater to Shojo anime fans. From the tone of the song, it felt more akin to idol anime mixed with a High School Musical copycat attempt. As well as attempting to cater to female rights extremists. As for Roy, he’s treated as the sidekick and the token male in the group. This would get a good deal of male Pokémon fans riled up from that. Reaction to the Opening Song This song disgusts me as it’s more akin to an idol anime than a proper Pokémon opening tone. OLM, Inc. should
